An internationally-styled, super Tuscan blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, this wine's dense aromas of cassis and black stone fruit are offset by notes of herbs, spice and sweet oak which carry onto a ripe palate marked by firm tannic structure. Wine Spectator Breathtaking. Dense and powerful, with grilled meat and currant aromas and flavors. Full-bodied, round and chewy; a massive and exciting. More muscular than the 2001. Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon. Best after 2007. 2,750 cases made. Thus it pours on the blackberry, plum and fudge flavors with gusto. This is a seriously fat, opulent red that would weigh in as a heavyweight at any wrestling match.
