Domaine Fondreche Nadal 2005
The wine is inky and displays fresh and juicy red fruits with tremendous depth, complexity and length. Wine Advocate The outstanding 2005 Nadal, a blend of 40% old vine Grenache with the same percentage of Syrah and 20% Mourvedre (with the Grenache aged in 600-liter demi-muids and the Syrah in smaller barrels) is a dark ruby/purple color with a big, sweet nose of blackberries, cassis, and a hint of bay leaf. The wine is medium-bodied, has good, crisp acidity, and nice purity, texture, and length. It should drink well for 5-6 years. Score: 90. —Robert Parker, February 2007. |
