Wine Advocate Space limitations did not allow complete tasting notes for this Cru Bourgeois, but 2005 is the finest vintage for these wines since 1982. The range of scores for these wines should give readers an idea of just how consistent this vintage is at this level. Given the style of the vintage, most of these wines should be accessible young yet evolve for a decade or more because of their concentration and tannic structure. (87-88) Score: 88. —Robert Parker, April 2006.
Wine Spectator Soft and velvety, with blackberry, mineral and light mint character on the nose and palate. Medium- to full-bodied, with a caressing texture. There's lovely balance to this. Best after 2011. 35,290 cases made. Score: 88. —James Suckling, March 31, 2008.
Wine Enthusiast 87-89 Barrel sample. Very ripe, almost sweet fruit gives this wine a delicious, open, generous feel. Red fruits are the dominant character, layered with some spicy new wood that develops at the end. Score: 88. —Roger Voss, June 21, 2006.
