Bodegas Alion Ribera Del Duero Reserva 1995

Dense, brilliant, with purple tones. Complex and elegant, with an interesting variety of vanilla, fruit, compote and syrup aromas. Full, showing the great elegance of its size. The fine tannins lead to a lasting finish.
Wine Spectator
This modern-style red shows plenty of toasty vanilla flavors up front, but there's a solid core of ripe blackberry and black cherry, too. The texture is plush, but crisp acidity keeps the wine lively. It's a polished, impressive mix of suppleness and weight. Drink now through 2005.
Score: 92.
