Bodegas Mustiguillo Quincha Corral 2001
Wine Advocate The 2001 Quincha Corral (aged in 100% new French oak) is a limited cuvee of 500 cases. This spectacular offering tastes like a hypothetic blend of a great classified growth Bordeaux and a top northern Rhone from Hermitage. I know nothing about the aging potential of Bobal, but this wine boasts an inky/purple color along with tremendous intensity, impressive purity, and plenty of black fruits intermixed with notes of flowers, spice box, and toasty barrique. A marvelous wine, it’s hard to predict how it will age, but it appears to have 10-12 years of longevity. Score: 95. —Robert Parker, April 2004. |
